The Best Hair Shear are Necessary For Comfortable Hands
The best hair shears aren’t necessarily the most expensive products in the market today. Rather, the most optimal tools are ones that you, the hairdresser, are very comfortable with. It is of course important that the cutting edges are as sharp as possible all the time. If you’re a stylist, you surely must know how having a dull pair of scissors often results in uneven haircuts. Your hands may also get cramps when trying to cut through the same lock of hair over and over again just because your scissors aren’t sharp enough. Blades that are not evenly balanced with the pivot screw loose also causes ineffective cuts that aren’t comfortable for you and your clients.
What makes for comfortable hair scissors and shears when styling hair? Having ergonomically-designed cutting implements is always a positive thing as you can have more comfort and maneuverability when cutting hair. A lot of stylists swear that having scissors and shears with the newer convex blades is much more comfortable on the hands. A lot of considerations have to be made on the size and weight of the tools being used. The finger holes have to be not too large and not too small and the use of sizers is often a good idea. It is important to have well-oiled scissors not only to prevent the tools from rusting but to make sure that you prevent hand injury from repetitive stress.
As much as possible, stick with using the smaller scissors especially when working on shorter and finer hair. The energy you save not having to lift one of the bigger shears can pay in dividends when you consider you’re saving yourself from having cramped hands after a day’s worth of cutting your customer’s shiny locks. Remember that a comfortable hand is key to making full use of the best hair shears that you have.
